Character Information
*Character Name: Depth Charge
*Character Canon: Beast Wars
*Age: Approximately 200
*Race: Cybertronian
*Timeline/Pull Point: Post-Nemesis

*History: ANGST ANGST ANGST
*Personality: The first thing to comprehend about Depth Charge is his sheer sense of single-mindedness. The main thing on the front of his processor is that he needs to find Protoform X and absolutely kill him, even if it seems to be an impossible feat. Specifically, Protoform X -- who became known as Rampage -- is Depth Charge's ultimate enemy, who destroyed the colony that Depth Charge was guardian of. Depth Charge himself became the sole survivor of Colony Omicron; not only were all of his friends killed, but Rampage seemed to single him out specifically to survive, as sort of a personal game. Ever since then, all Depth Charge could possibly think about was hunting down Rampage and destroying him. Because of those events, whoever Depth Charge used to be seems to have nearly completely died inside of him, leaving a shell of a bot dedicated to gaining justice for Colony Omicron.

Other things to note would be the level of Depth Charge's temper and stubbornness. While his anger is mostly rooted to Rampage, he will have little patience for others who waste his time, get in his way, or he perceives to just be all around annoying. A punch to the face or a snide remark is usually easier for him than a rational reaction. His stubbornness is easily attributed to his need to kill Rampage, initially refusing to focus on anything else.

There are shreds of his old personality that remains in Depth Charge. He still bears his Maximal nobility and loyalty in some occasions, going out of his way to assist his fellow Maximals when they are in dire need of protection. After all, his main programming does cause him to see the need to save and protect innocents; it's just a part of who he is, and despite everything, it's not something that's been permanently thrown away from what he believes in -- even if he'd prefer to focus primarily on hunting Rampage. He does a bit of an issue of following someone else's authority, though, since it has betrayed him in the past. Still, he is a capable soldier... when he chooses to listen.

*Powers/Abilities:
Robot Mode/Beast Mode/Vehicle Mode - Via vocal and/or mental command, Depth Charge is able to transform between three modes: his manta ray beast mode, his normal bipedal robot mode, and his flight-capable vehicle mode that is a space cruiser. In general, his body is partially organic, permitting him to be shielded from energon radiation, but also able to eat and digest organic material as well as various types of fuel. Putting himself into beast mode also enables him to go into repair mode. It's not the best way to heal, but it works sufficiently with no R Chamber or medics immediately available; the repair mode takes a lot longer and is rarely efficient if one is drastically injured. It is more must for minor injuries on the job.

Weapons - Depth Charge has three main weapons, two of which are a part of his body. One is a spear that comes from his tail as a manta ray, the other are laser blasts that come from his mouth in beast mode/his chest in robot mode. The third is his Cybershark gun, which shoots torpedoes/rockets, and doubles as a seeker drone for him.

Protoform X Radar - Depth Charge has his scanners specifically targeted to Rampage's spark, so he's able to locate him. He could possibly tune his scanners to other things, but Depth Charge's single mindedness keeps him focused on just Rampage.

Former Imperial Peace Marshal - Old habits die hard and Depth Charge, deep inside, is still kind of a cop. Which means he still has some instincts, detective skills, tracking abilities, and so on. He also has a knowledge set of how to create a very, very secure prison, considering his unfortunate relations to a certain crab.

*Inventory: Cybershark gun, energon knife, Batman comics
*Starting Polarity: I have zero preference, but I imagine Megatronus or Vector might be a good fit.

If AU, how does your character differ from canon?: (Non AU apps may ignore this question. CRAUs and OAUs should get in to specifics here regarding what changes there are from their character's original canon. We'll need at least a paragraph explaining details.)

Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:

Firstforged, acolytes, this fragging glyph--

This has got to be someone's twisted idea of a joke. No, I'm offline. That's what it's got to be, and this is the Pit.

Although it's a lot less fiery and more ridiculous than I expected.

*Third Person Sample:

It's been a few hours since he'd been informed of what happened. Where he is, supposedly, and what's going on. It's unbelievable and a part of him almost wishes he was just offline for good already, because what the slag is he supposed to do with himself now?

"Protoform X: Not detected."

He went down there to stop the Nemesis. Ended up fighting Rampage. The explosion... it should have been enough to take two birds out with one stone, the way he sees it. Primal's little brigade of morons ought to be fine, they won, they can work on getting their afts home, whatever.

And he's here.

"Protoform X: Not detected."

Alone.

"Protoform X: Not detected."

No matter how many times he scans, it's the same thing. Same slagging thing. All Depth Charge can really conclude is... he must have won. He must have actually won that fight, because if he's here and X isn't, then Rampage is dead.

He doesn't... know how to feel about that.

He's spent so long following that monster's scent, cornering him, finding him, killing him that he has no idea what to do. It's not like Depth Charge can go back to Cybertron. Absently, he thinks to himself, that if he had defeated him on Earth and was still there, maybe he would have left with the other Maximals. Frag, maybe go on an exploration gig with Primal, if they could put up with each other.

He couldn't ever be a guardian again.

"Protoform X: Not detected."

So he's an ex-Marshal, and now an ex-hunter.

What can he do on this rock, then? He can't spend it like this, waiting for a dead foe.

This is... going to be difficult.

Final Notes: Depth Charge will be arriving with some massive injuries since he's just coming from his final fight with Rampage.
